Food Distribution – Throughout the year, our volunteers work in conjunction with the local food banks to provide labor in the preparation and distribution of food to the needy.
Food Pantry – We accept and distribute donations of food to the needy on a regular basis. Our volunteers assist in organizing and distributing the food. We also distribute food to other food pantries in needy communities.
Clothing/Furniture Distribution - Throughout the year we will collect and distribute clothing to the community.
Educational Scholarships – We will offer 2 to 5 scholarships awards from $500 to $1,000 per year to college students. The awards will be based on the student's financial need, academic accomplishments and/or community service. We will appoint a scholarship committee to review applications and approve scholarship awards. Contact us for additional information concerning our scholarship awards.
Foreign Missions Projects - We send our staff and volunteers to foreign countries to work with volunteers in other countries to start new non-government organizations. We plan to operate our foreign missions program in Africa, Israel, India and Haiti. We may expand the program to other countries that have not yet been determined. The new non-government organizations will have fiscal accountability requirements to our organization. The purpose of the foreign missions initiatives will be to provide spiritual and charitable assistance.
Orphanage Outreach – We will help build orphanages. We intend to provide food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, educational assistance, and recreational activities to abandoned children (from infancy to 18 years). Our organization will build the facility with the aid of other volunteer organizations. Our organization will partner with local organizations or mission agencies, in order to develop a team of paid staff and volunteers to manage the orphanages. We will help train the management team. We will provide funds for food and other expenses on an ongoing basis. The local non-government organization and its management team will care for the children, maintain the facility and account for the funds used.
About Us
LOVEALIVE Center for Community Development is a not-for-profit organization incorporated to provide programs, offer services and engage in other activities that promote and support community development with the city of Philadelphia, PA. Our focus is serving lower-income residents in struggling neighborhoods. This involves a variety of activities which includes economic development, education, community organizing and spiritual development.
